Don't Go Where I Can't Follow by Anders Nilsen with Cheryl Weaver is simple and sad, giving a series of "exhibits" detailing a relationship. It begins with a letter about a camping trip gone wrong. It includes pictures from a trip to France. The most beautiful drawings are of Cheryl in her hospital bed, part of Anders's journal entry. The book is spare, especially compared to Donald Hall's The Best Day The Worst Day, which goes over his wife's illness in great detail. Actually, I guess it's more like Hall's book of poetry, Without. The difference is that Anders didn't get so much time with his wife, and from his description of her memorial service it seems he wishes he knew her better.
